Jelena Ždrale, violin



Jelena from the Academy of Music in Ljubljana under professor Volodje Balžalorski. During her studies she received the Prešeren Student Award. At that time she began flirting with other styles of music, which led to accepting the invitation of becoming part of the band Lolita, where she played for two years. Later on she founded, together with Lazar, Ivanuša and de Gleria, the ethno-jazz quartet Štefbet Rifi. Together they released the well-known album Juhu.

Currently she is actively involved in the groups Godalika (album Time 2 Start) and Fake orchestra (albums Fake life, Fake world, the third one is in preparation ). She is also a member of the group Brina (on albums Mlado Leto and Pasja Legenda). With all the bands mentioned earlier she performs regularly at concerts and festivals both at home and abroad (Druga Godba Festival, Cerkno Jazz Festival, Trnfest, Ljubljana Jazz Festival, Alpentone Festival, Glatt & Verkhert Festival – Krems, Xong Festival, Soča Reggae Riversplash Festival…). As an author, she cooperates with different theatre and puppet shows.
